Summary

ChemCon The Americas 2010 took place in Philadelphia, USA from November 8th-12th. Almost 200 delegates from 22 countries representing more than 130 companies, authorities and associations have attended the conference and contributed to the exchange of experiences and discussion about regulatory affairs around the globe.

A variety of aspects of international chemical control legislation around the globe was discussed. New hands on topics related to the European REACH procedures and the TSCA reform were of high relevance to the audiences. Up-to-date information on current and emerging chemical control legislation in The Americas (e.g. Argentina, Brazil and Chile), Asia-Pacific (eg China, Japan, Vietnam and Australia), Europe (eg EU, Russia and Turkey) and the Middle East were highlighted and discussed. As well as general topics currently in focus like nanotechnology, polymers and cosmetic regulations.
