Partners of ChemCon 1998:

ChemCon 1998 took place in Vienna, Austria, from June 8th to 10th 1998. More than 200 experts attended the 1998 conference representing more than 100 companies, authorities and international organizations from over 22 countries. In the conference sessions a variety of aspects of international chemical control around the globe were discussed with a focus on new chemicals notification, chemical inventories, existing chemicals assessment, classification and labelling, hazard communication, product registration and risk assessment. The first day was devoted to chemical legislation in the CEECs, e.g. Belarus, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Slovenia, Ukraine and Romania. The second day and third day dealt with the Americas and Asia Pacific. About 45 countries from Europe, Asia Pacific and the Americas were spotlighted in detail and a lot of horizontal topics with a global or regional relevance were covered.
