ChemCon ASIA 2011 was the 5th conference in the series of ChemCon Conferences in Asia and also the 15th anniversary of ChemCon. Hong Kong was the host city for this successful conference which took place from June 27th - July 1st in China. Over 270 delegates from 30 countries representing more than 180 companies, authorities and associations have attended the conference and contributed to the exchange of experiences and discussions about regulatory affairs around the globe at ChemCon Asia 2011.
A variety of international chemical control legislation aspects around the globe was discussed at ChemCon Asia 2011. In depth seminars on Global approach to New Chemicals and Japan and new hands on topics related to the Chinese Decree 591, European REACH procedures and the Korea REACH implementation were of high relevance to the audience. Up-to-date information on current and emerging chemical control legislation in the Asia-Pacific (eg India, Malaysia, Taiwan and New Zealand), The Americas (e.g. USA, Mexico and Brazil), and Europe (eg EU, Russia and Turkey) were highlighted and discussed. General topics currently in focus like nanomaterials, polymers and downstream user requirements were also covered.
