Partners of ChemCon Asia 2015:
ChemCon Asia 2015 took place in Hong Kong, China from June 15th to 19th. 250 experts from 28 countries representing more than 150 companies, authorities and associations have attended the conference and contributed to the exchange of experiences and discussion about regulatory affairs around the globe.
During the conferences sessions a variety of aspects of international chemical control legislation around the globe was discussed. Hands on topics related to Chinese, Korean and Malaysian regulations as well as European REACH procedures and expected Unites States updates were of high relevance to the audience.
Up-to-date information on current and emerging chemical control legislation in the Asia-Pacific (e.g. India, Indonesia, Japan, Taiwan, Thailand, Singapore, Australia and New-Zealand), The Americas (e.g. USA, Canada, Mexico and Brazil), and Europe (eg EU, Russia and Turkey) as well as The Middle East were highlighted and discussed. As always practical advice and lessons learned by industry were well received, since they show how to act within the legal frameworks set. Furthermore, there was a focus on other control legislation also relevant for the chemical industry like food contact, cosmetics, nanomaterials, pesticides, biocides and endocrine disruptors as well as potential approaches for a more sustainable future of the chemical industry. Also, emergency prevention and response practices, safety culture and downstream user requirements and experiences were shared.
After the conference two in-depth seminars focussed on Korea and Global Survey of Regulated Lists of Chemicals.
