ChemCon Asia 2024 took place in Bangkok, Thailand from 3 – 7 June 2024. Over 210 experts from 26 countries, representing more than 110 companies, authorities and associations attended the exhibition and conference sessions and contributed to an inspiring exchange of experiences and discussions about regulatory affairs and sustainability initiatives across the globe.
The week had a great start where compliance driven companies and authorities shared their best stakeholder engagement practices and perspectives on interacting with regulators around the globe. This early morning session was followed by in-depth seminars on “Enforcement and compliance approaches around the globe” and “An inventory on data sharing and data management around the globe’”, where authority and industry experts shared their views, knowledge and experiences on global REACH-like approaches and implementation in, among others, Türkiye, India and the United Kingdom. The seminar also included IUCLID as a key building block for global data sharing, best practices and challenges on data sharing and data management.
During the rest of the week, a variety of aspects of international chemical control legislation around the globe were discussed.
